Experience
I went to Adelphi University to earn my graduate degree in literacy for students from birth through high school seniors. Before that, I attended Stony Brook University, where I earned degrees in philosophy and English, along with the political science minor. I'm certified to teach English at the middle school and high school level as well as literacy for birth through high school in the state of New York. I use methods such as scaffolding and differentiated instruction to help students learn effectively. I'm currently a substitute teacher for a junior and senior high school. I've also performed leave replacement at the high school and middle school levels as an English teacher and as a reading specialist, respectively. I can help students with reading, writing, literature, phonics, essays, AP English literature and composition, Regents prep, ACT prep, SAT prep, GRE prep, PSAT prep, and other related subjects and exams. In my free time, I enjoy CrossFit, swimming, and reading.
